🪑 A Little Backstory: Why I Created This Series
This Frozen Shoulder Mini-Series wasn’t planned. It was born — quite literally — from my own pain.
Over the past few weeks, I started feeling a dull, nagging ache in my shoulder and upper arm. At first, I brushed it off. But then it got worse. Lifting my arm became harder. I couldn’t find a comfortable sleeping position. Sound familiar?
It turns out… working at my dining table (a little too high), slouching in my dining chair ( a little too low) for hours on end, writing content for my website and this very blog took its toll. Poor posture, long laptop hours, and my elbow swaying unsupported caught up with me fast. It's kind of embarrassing really, because this is the kind of thing I always warn my clients about.
So I returned to my tools: acupressure & gentle targeted movement. And within a few days of doing just a couple of minutes a day — the pain had eased considerably. Within a week? My arm was lifting pain-free again.
That’s when I remembered Sylvia, my client who had resolved her frozen shoulder pain within 4 weeks of working together. And the two friends who had told me they were struggling with frozen shoulder too over the last couple of months.
I realized: it’s time to talk about this. Ready?

🌿 You don’t need any fancy tools. Just your hands, a little intention, and a couple of minutes of self-care. This is the reset that got me thinking of creating a series for you. After working on these acupressure points I could INSTANTLY lift my arm higher, and my pain had decreased. So, I kept going every day and I kept adding different 1-minute techniques.(pssst- these are coming up in the next minute Wednesday blogs- stay tuned)
If you have some shoulder or arm pain or constriction, follow along, with me.
Pro Tip: Why not follow along anyway, to PREVENT frozen shoulder or arm pain! Gently press each point for 30–60 seconds, and move onto the next one. The final point is in the little groove you can feel between the shoulder and your arm ( you need to lift it like I'm doing to feel the groove).
Now I love pairing my natural healing practices with evidence ; so why don't you try this with me.
1. Lift your arm until you start feeling the pain. Stop & take note of how high your arm can go.
2. Close your eyes, breathe in through your nose, give yourself a big old smile, and breathe out through your mouth. Now you're ready to start.
3. Use your thumb to press, pump or massage deeply each of the points shown for 30secs. Watch the video to see where the acupoint is located, press pause , and pump for 30sec. Then press play and go onto the next one.
Don't forget to breathe, throughout this mini session. We often hold onto our breath when we're concentrating on something new, without even realising it.
4. This will take you ONLY 2.5 minutes. Now, lift your arm again and see how high it will go before the pain begins. I bet, it'll go higher than before!
And this will be your proof that acupressure works. And this will be your incentive to spend less than 3 minutes a day ( or multiple times a day) healing your frozen/ painful shoulder.
