It's amazing how good you'll feel when you learn to go with the flow.

The Meridian Healer incorporates the wealth of knowledge I have accumulated over the last 13 years, on Shiatsu, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Breathwork and QiGong. 

These are all based on the 5 Element Theory:
wood, fire, earth, metal, water. 

Each element has 2 organs that belong to it and their corresponding meridians, i.e. energetic pathways which travel from our head to our toes. Acupuncturists use needles for this. But Shiatsu therapists, like me, use their thumbs and acupressure along these meridians. 

The meridians are like roads along your body, and they are responsible for the energy flow. If there is a traffic jam, some areas will be stuck energetically and others will be weak because the energy will not be flowing as it should. This causes a disfunction in your system.

So how can these routines help you?

Simply put, they open up the pathway to a better energy flow. That means better breathing, a more relaxed and regulated feeling, and vitality to take on your world! 

And all you need is just a few minutes a day.

Hello healing seekers! I'm Des, a Greek/Australian currently living in Belgium. 

I grew up in Melbourne, and after consuming an alarming amount of Jane Austin and Emily Bronte novels in my teens, became interested in philosophy and the meaning of life. With a major in philosophy and a minor in prehistoric archaeology a few years later, life led me to my favourite city in the entire world: Athens, Greece. That is where I was introduced to Kundalini yoga and I looooved it!

To me, that first class was like coming home. Later on I came across Reiki, and even did a course on Thai massage.

I was an English teacher at the time but the seed of becoming a therapist had firmly been planted!

Fast forward some years, a wedding, a son, a 2 year stay in Damascus, Syria and finally settling in our new home Brussels, Belgium.

I was looking for my next step in life, something that wouldn't keep me long from my baby!
That's when I stumbled across Shiatsu. The course was held in Flemish, did that phase me?
Nope! Lucky for me both master and fellow students spoke English.

Three and a half years later, I graduated into a fully fledged Shiatsu practitioner!

Working one on one with people is truly inspirational. I mainly work with women who suffer from migraines, PMS, symptoms, anxiety, depression, burnout, physical pain... and the list goes on. That, is, until Covid hit.

For the past 2 years, when my clients needed me the most, I couldn't help the them. I searched for videos I could send them to help themselves, but I couldn't find all the things I wanted.

That's how the idea for an online learning library came about.

Shiatsu is a practice where the client relies on the practitioner for relief. And now that this wasn't possible, I started putting together my years of information into bite size pieces, so that anyone could use it and see improvement in their physical and emotional struggles without me there to physically work on them.
